A place to relax and meet new friends
Our Shed has been established because many older men find that retirement takes away most of our friends and our sense of purpose, leaving us vulnerable to physical illness and depression. The Gosport Shed provides a new network of friends and a renewed sense of purpose – it’s a good reason to get up in the morning!
The Gosport Shed provides a friendly meeting place for older men. Many such men benefit from The Shed’s meeting place, workshop facilities and other activities. It is available for community projects and for members’ own projects and hobbies. If you would like to join, just turn up and and you will be made welcome.
The Gosport Shed has over 150 members from Gosport, Lee on the Solent and the surrounding areas. These members make full use of the Shed’s workshops and other facilities. The various interest groups and visits are organised by the members and are open to the other members to join.
