The Gosport Shed is very fortunate to have enough space to dedicate room to some of the more involved hobbies / skills. This enables equipment and projects to be laid out for the duration and peremits good health and safety practices.
The workshop areas are fitted out with workbenches professional grade machines. These areas are managed to ensure the health and safety of the users. The workshops include wood machine shop, joinery and assembly shop and a metalworking shop.
Many of the community projects undertaken by The Shedders are undertaken in these workshops.
CRAFT ROOM
Here members can develop their craft designs. Craft currently undertaken include clock repairs, pyrography, artwork.
ModeLling ROOM
Interested members can used this area for designed and developing models. There is a large model railway layout being continuosly developed by a number of members.
CLASSROOM / MUSIC ROOM
The Gosport Shed has a dedicated classroom to enable meetings of such groups as the photography and genealogy groups.
This classroom also is used by the various music groups – the ukulele, skiffle and guitar groups.
There are a number of other areas used for computing/IT activiites, storage, tool recycling projects, and gardnering activiites amongst other activities.
