The Gosport Shed hosted BBC Radio Solent as the first venue on the station’s clued-up programme which was touring Gosport and Lee on the Solent. Barrie Lawrence and Les Blackburn showed the presenter around the drill hall whilst introducing the Shed facilities and it’s work for older men. The radio interview was accompanied by the sounds of the Shed’s ukulele band.
