The Gopsort Shed celebrated its momentous 10 year milestone with a formal dinner with live music provided by the Three Southern Gentlemen. The celbration was attended by many of the current membes and their partners and suppoorted by our local MP Dame Caroline Dinenage, who has supported the Shed since its conception, and the Mayor and Mayorese of Gosport.
In 2013, 8 original members began the Shed at Fort Brockhurst from which the Shed has grown to over 150 members and evolved to now enjoy marvellous accommodation and facilities at St. Vincent College.
Over the years the shed’s fortunes have waxed and waned and have now recovered from the terrible effects of the pandemic, with some members only now returning.
The chairman, Harry, stated that the Shed now has a firm foundation to continue to expand and offer comradeship for the older men of Gosport and the surrounding areas., together with its efforts on behalf the local community.
